This is a polite reminder that Wanborough Surgery closes from this weekend and reopens on Monday 23rd September. All medical services are continuing as normal from our Ramsbury site. Our Dispensary and Reception Team are working harder than you can imagine to try to keep up with medication demand - it has been overwhelming to say the least. We are doing our best and trying to work through all of the requests that have come in. The letterbox and prescription box will be closed from Friday evening this week (6th September) so all repeat prescription requests will need to be either taken to Ramsbury, emailed in via bswicb.ramsburydispensary@nhs.net or put through online via the NHS app or SystmOnline.

ANY REQUEST FOR NEW MEDICATION MUST BE MADE BY APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR USUAL GP OR WITH OUR CLINICAL PHARMACIST.
Repeat Prescriptions
Currently due to fluctuating workload pressures, your prescription may take up to five working days (EXCLUDING WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS). Phone requests cannot be taken. Controlled Drugs cannot be dispensed on Saturdays.
ONCE YOU TAKE YOUR MEDICATION HOME, IT CAN'T BE REUSED AND WILL HAVE TO BE INCINERATED, EVEN IF IT'S UNOPENED.
Your doctor may agree that your prescription should be repeated without a further consultation, in which case you will have been given a repeat request slip. Items not printed on the slip can only be repeated if authorised by a doctor and may not be available as promptly.
When you require more medication, please go online and order your normal repeat medication. If for any reason you cannot use our Online System, please place your repeat slip into the Repeat Medication box at either Surgery, having ticked the appropriate box, by one of the following methods.

Dispensers
Both surgeries have fully equipped dispensaries and our dispensing staff are available to help you with any queries concerning your prescription or medication.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO DISPENSER AT OUR BRANCH SURGERY (WANBOROUGH) ON A SATURDAY MORNING.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a Doctor, Pharmacist or Practice Nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
