Attached Staff

District Nurses

The district nursing team provide skilled nursing care, offer advice and support and promote good health practice to anyone requiring treatment at home. If you are a patient who is currently receiving district nurse care, they can be contacted at the nursing office on Marlborough (01672) 517330 between 09:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday. They have a liaison service with the hospital for patients requiring nursing after discharge. If you believe you need District nurse care, please discuss this with your GP.

We have midwives attached to both surgeries carrying out regular antenatal clinics. Appointments for the antenatal clinic can be made at reception. To contact the midwife, please phone the community midwife office or the maternity unit at Great Western Hospital.

There is a counselling/psychology team attached to this practice. Access to this service is by doctor’s referral. Patients are then invited to make their own appointment and are initially offered self-help, coping strategies and courses such as stress management. Further appointments are arranged as needed.

Macmillan nurses

We have regular contact with Macmillian nurses working at the Prospect Hospice and they can be contacted via your GP/district nurse at the surgery.
